SuperhotGeo keeps geological setting, engineering approach, evidence maturity, confidence, and source separate. The purpose is not to manufacture certainty; it is to make uncertainty inspectable and useful in a real decision.
Every material field needs provenance
A citation attached only to an entire page is not enough. For decision-critical records, SuperhotGeo is moving toward field-level provenance: the source, effective date, evidence type, reviewer, confidence, and revision history travel with the claim.
- Stable entity and record identifiers
- Primary source URL or permanent publication identifier where available
- Publication date, effective date, and last-reviewed date
- Exact evidence type and confidence assessment
- Reviewer and material revision history
- Reuse or licensing status for contributed and third-party data

Confidence describes the record, not the promoter
Primary measurements or documents, clear method, strong source agreement, and no material unresolved conflict.
Operator reporting, secondary synthesis, partial measurement, or a material field that still requires confirmation.
Conceptual, modeled, inferred, single-source, or too early to support an engineering, investment, or siting conclusion.
Corrections become part of the asset
Material corrections are reviewed against a primary or clearly attributable source, recorded with a reason, and assigned a new review date. Conflicting evidence is preserved and described rather than silently overwritten. Contributors are credited when permission allows; proprietary information is not published without authority.

What the platform does not claim
SuperhotGeo provides research, screening, comparison, monitoring, and data-access tools. It does not certify a geothermal resource, provide an engineering opinion, replace field investigation or probabilistic subsurface modeling, guarantee project economics, or make an investment recommendation.
